Repairs to a listed building: do you need a permit in Portugal?
Repair and upkeep of a listed building, or one being listed, needs a licence unless the heritage authority has given a favourable opinion. With that opinion the work is exempt, and you file the opinion with the start-of-works notice.
- Answer
- Licence, or exempt with a favourable heritage opinion

- Council rules
- Your council can add detail in its own building regulation where the law lets it, so ask before you start.
